The Regional Centre for Banat Heritage – Concordia was formed in 2012, through the implementation and realisation of the Romania-Republic of Serbia IPA Cross–border Cooperation Programme.

Establishment of Regional Cultural Centre for Banat Heritage – „Concordia“
The project is financed by the EU, by the means of pre accession IPA funds for cross-border cooperation. The project value is about €1,000,000.00. Contribution of IPA fund is 85%, whereas VršacMunicipality contributes with 15%. IPA program grants are aimed at the candidate countries or potential candidate countries for the membership in the European Union. The IPA is made of different components – strengthening and improving the regional cooperation, regional and sustainable development and reduction of poverty. The project Regional Cultural Centre for Banat Heritage – „ Concordia “, is a project of cross-border cooperation between Romania and Serbia. Time for realization was 20 months, and it was finished in July 2012.
Project’s Objectives
Reconstruction of the “Konkordija” building in Vršac, as well as a sequence of the activities which would bring about the formation of the future regional Centre for Banat heritage; in “Konkordija” building there would be situated Town Museum of Vršac as well as the future regional centre, a museum’s department.
