Industrial Heritage of Banat, Cultural Asset of Europe
After Reșița and Pančevo, the photography exhibition titled: Industrial Heritage of Banat, Cultural Asset of Europe was organised at the Regional Centre for Protection of Banat Cultural Heritage in the Konkordija building in Vršac.
The architectural, cultural and historical treasure of the Romanian and the Serbian parts of Banat was presented in 28 photographs of industrial facilities located in Reșița, Oravița, Bocșa, Anina, Vršac, Plandište, Pančevo, Kovačica and other places on both sides of the border. Industrial facilities of various purposes and functions were shown. Mining industry was thriving in the Romanian part of Banat. The aim of the project was to identify the industrial facilities in the Romanian and the Serbian part of Banat, and the crown of the project will be a monograph written in three languages which will bring these facilities important in our past to light and influence the development of cultural tourism in Banat. The exhibition was open from 26th to 27th February 2015, and it was attended by 131 visitors.
